Now: who’s playing right now, and who needs you, with the answers that show why. Class: the whole class: trends, fuel cells, Class Progress, standards, this week, the calendar and records. Missions: Daily Missions and Recommended. Assignments: every assignment and every student, like a gradebook. Lessons, Logins, Designs (ship designs students share) and Settings. Your class code is always at the top: click it to copy the join link.
On Now, your class list stays on the left. Click a student to see that student’s fuel cells and stats; it updates on its own every few seconds.
Students join by typing your class code when making an account, or by opening your join link (Class settings). Students under 13 need a class code to make an account.
The Logins tab has every student’s username and password. Copy one, copy everyone for a spreadsheet, or print cards. Reset gives a student a new password you can see.
A mission tells students what to practice: a game, sets, modes and how much. It can repeat every day, on school days or weekly, and go to the whole class, picked students, a saved group, or everyone below a mastery level. Students can press “Set it up for me” to get ready.
Save groups of players in Class settings. Any mission can then go to a group in one click.
Open Astronomo and use the Arena tab to start a race or tournament. Students join from the Arena tab on each device.
If your class shares devices, turn on “Sign players out automatically” in Class settings. A student is signed out after being away from Astronomo for the time you pick: left the tab, closed it, or just stopped using it. The sign-in screen says why.
It never signs out teachers, and turning it off doesn’t sign anyone out.
Use the same Astronomo username and password you use in the game. Your account needs to be a teacher (class admin) for a class.
Your teacher account is ready. Make a class for your players, or join a class another teacher already runs.
Teacher accounts need a confirmed email, so you can always reset your password and we can reach you about your class.
Send students the join link: anyone with an account signs in from it and joins the class; new students make an account from it. Students can also type the code on the Sign in screen, when making an account, or in Settings.
Co-teachers can use this panel for this class. They need their own teacher account first.
Another teacher types this when they make their account (or in their panel) to join this class right away. It’s for teachers only: players use the class code. Teachers can also find the class by searching and ask to join; you’ll see their request at the top of the panel.
Groups you can hand a mission to. The mission maker’s “A saved group” uses these same groups.
Make a new class at the same school. It gets its own code and roster.
Every ship has a name. Students build one from fixed words, like Flashzoid or Cosmicplanetoid, so no pick can be unkind or give away who a student is. You can also let students type one: a word filter checks it, and only classmates see a typed name. Players under 13 always use the words.
Signs a student out after leaving Astronomo, closing it, or no longer using it, so the next person on the device can’t play as that student. It never signs out teachers.
Console is every student’s home screen: profile and records, your Daily Missions and Assignments, what to do next, and the class.
Shown on the gold Daily Missions card on Console. Leave it empty for no message.
Good days the whole class aims for this month. A good day is 10 or more answers with 9 out of 10 right on the first try. Leave empty for no goal.
Keep any of these locked until your class reaches its goal (set just above). Once the goal is reached, they open for everyone.
The Class tab on Console. It shows numbers for the class together, never one student’s numbers. Choose what your students see.
Everyone in this class is friends with everyone else in it, automatically. Friends can see each other’s ship, name, profile card, what each one is playing and races open to join. There are no messages: nobody can type anything other players see.
Players can start a race that’s open to anyone, or join one. Friends races and races joined with a star code always work.
Put your class's stars in the order you want them, and lock or hide any of them. Locked: your players see the star but can't go in. Hidden: it isn't there at all. Stars Astronomo has locked or hidden for everyone show here too, and stay that way.
What your students can use. Set it for the whole class, then change it for a group or one student. A student’s own setting beats the group’s, and a group’s beats the class’s.
Most classes never need these. Open one to change it.
How Astronomo looks. It never changes how it plays. When you pick one, your students can't change it. Locked consoles can't be picked yet.
Every lesson is a document. Edits save as you go, as a draft. Publish to send one to players.
Lessons in the trash never reach players. Restore one, or delete it for good.
Paste names, one student per line: First Last. You can copy two columns straight from a spreadsheet.
Check the usernames. You can change any of them. Passwords are made when you create the accounts.
